Scouts (10.5-14)

Scouts are the oldest section section in our Group and are boys and girls aged between 10 ½ to 14 years old.

We generally have around 16 Scouts in our Troop and they meet every Monday evening (term time only) 7pm to 9pm at the Group Headquarters (rear of White Church, Balby). As a part of our Scout Troop, your child will be given the opportunity to take part in a lot of activities that will provide fun, adventure and challenge. There will be games, crafts, visits, outdoor sessions, and the chance to try new and exciting things and to learn new skills. In addition, Scouts will be given the chance to attend a camp – either with their
Troop or perhaps on a Group camp with the other sections. We also take part in activities that are offered by Doncaster Danum Scouts and South Yorkshire County.

There is a huge range of badges that can be earned and these can be achieved by working towards them with the rest of the Troop, their patrol or earned at home by themselves. Scouts work towards the highest award in the Scout Section which is the Chief Scout Gold Award.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
