Cub Scouts (8-10.5)

Cubs are the middle section in our Group and are boys and girls aged between 8 and 10 ½ years old.

We generally have between 30 -36 Cubs in our Pack and they meet every Wednesday evening (term time only) 6.30pm to 8pm at the Group Headquarters (rear of White Church, Balby). As a part of our Cub Pack, your child will be given the opportunity to take part in a lot of activities that will provide fun, adventure and challenge. There will be games, crafts, visits, outdoor sessions, and the chance to try new and exciting things. In addition, Cubs will be given the chance to attend a camp – either with their Pack or perhaps on a Group camp with the other sections. We also take part in activities that are offered by Doncaster Danum Scouts and South Yorkshire County.

There is a huge range of badges that can be earned and these can be achieved by working towards them with the rest of the pack, their six or earned at home by themselves.

Cubs work towards the highest award in the Cub Scout Section which is the Chief Scout Silver Award.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
