Beaver Scouts (6-8)

Beavers are the youngest members in the Scout Association and are boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years old.

We generally have 24 Beavers in our Colony and they meet every Thursday evening (term time only) 6.15pm to 7.30pm at the Group Headquarters (rear of White Church, Balby). As part of our Beaver Colony, your child will be given the opportunity to take part in a lot of activities that will provide fun, adventure and challenge. There will be games, crafts, visits, outdoor sessions to name a few. In addition, Beavers will be given the chance to attend a camp or a sleepover – either with their Colony or perhaps on a Group camp with the older sections.

We also take part in activities that are offered by Doncaster Danum Scouts and South Yorkshire County.
There is a huge range of badges that can be earned and these will be achieved by working towards them with the rest of the Colony or sometimes at home by themselves. Beavers work towards the highest award in the Beaver Scout Section which is the Chief Scout Bronze Award.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
