When do we meet?
- Beavers – Thursday 6.15pm – 7.30pm
- Cubs – Wednesday 6.30pm – 8pm
- Scouts – Monday 7pm – 9pm
All Sections meet term time only. Other activities (such as trips / camps) may be offered outside of the weekly meetings and information about these will be provided to you via email (we use OSM Event Manager for all activities).
What does it cost?
The Group charges all young members a subscription which covers insurance that is paid annually to The Scout Association and goes towards our running costs. The current subscription amount is £90 which is paid monthly ( except August and December)
We have introduced a cashless payment system for subscriptions and activities to reduce the administration workload for our volunteers. Details of how this works will be shared with you upon joining.
What do I need?
For their first meeting, your child will just need to come along in comfortable clothes (nothing too fancy as they may get dirty). Once they wish to continue attending, their Section Leader will advise them of the uniform they require to enable them to be invested into the Group and the Worldwide Family of Scouting.
The general uniform requirement is blue combat trousers and the appropriate section jumper / shirt.
When you send an initial enquiry via our website, you will receive an email reply from a Section Leader or Group Scout Leader, which contains more specific details about our Group. You will also receive an invitation to our online management system (OSM) with a request to enter relevant personal details which will be stored in OSM and used to contact you when a place becomes available for your child.
When your child joins our Group, we will also use this information to contact you with details about forthcoming events and activities that you may wish to attend.
